My personal style is very simple and basic. I don’t like overly girly pieces and am instead drawn towards the basic tees, sneakers and the moto jackets (yes I am a tomboy). My wardrobe consists of mostly black and white pieces with a little edge! My personal style reflects my interior style so there’s no surprise that I love the simpler things, neutral materials and black & white when it’s time to decorate too. I do however like to make a statement, so a pop of color here and there is not an uncommon thing in my home!
What’s your personal style? And does it reflect your interior design style?
(If you don’t know what interior design style you are, take this quiz to find out and share what you got in the comments)
(I got industrial chic with the motivation: ‘Your kitchen is a shrine to the latest stainless steel appliances from Germany; your bathroom is modeled after a Finnish sauna. You think Bauhaus is cozy, and chrome is your favorite color because it flatters your poured concrete floors. Pipes are meant to be seen, and metals are meant to be mixed. You’re obsessed with form and function and laugh in the face of frivolity—and for that we tip our hats (as long as they’re not hard hats).’)
Rustic romantic!
“Pale roses in a mint julep cup adorn your antique mantel; chintz drapery flutters over your windows. Your favorite pieces tend toward a palette of shabby whites and warm neutrals. You love to ensconce yourself at your British ladies’ writing desk, where you nibble on pastel macarons and sip on dainty cups of tea.
Your Design Inspirations: Rachel Ashwell; Cath Kidston.
Make It Work: Add a bit of well-worn patina to your furnishings by artfully scratching and chipping the paint.”

I DO love the rural and rustic looks, and my personal dress style is somewhere between hippie, traditional farmer girl and old-school goth, so I think it’s a great fit. 😀
My kitchen:
My office:
That’s sort of the style I go for: flowers and natural patterns, muted colours with a splash of brightness, warm and natural textures, a little clutter but plenty of floor space.
