Two thousand and fifteen is over and it has been a really stylish year in terms of design with everything from marble to metals. Below are some trends of 2015 that I hope will stay cool in 2016 too.
Copper burnished metals and rose coppers have been adorning everything from lighting to cutlery in 2015.
Two in one; Grey Bedrooms & Industrial Influences
The color grey adds softness and calm to the bedroom and it has been a big hit in 2015.
The industrial influence has been fashionable for a long time, with 2015 at its peak, and who says it can’t continue into the new year too? No one!
Tones of Blue
Several designers developed a case of the blues in 2015, especially dark moody blues which leads me to the next trend…
The Velvet Sofa
… what sofas concerns, in 2015 the blue velvet sofa was what was in vogue.
The marble trend was seen everywhere in 2015. Let’s just say that there was a lot of marbling going on and I hope it continues!
Patterned floors was actually 2014’s big trend but it kept trending all through 2015 and I am still not ready to let it go. 2016 and patterned floors goes hand in hand!
This trend could actually be included in the Industrial Influences one but it’s so good I decided to give it its own spot. Steel Windows, also referred to as factory windows and black metal-framed doors and windows, which both me & Daniella have written about before, made a huge comeback in 2015, and I hope they’re here to stay forever!
